Michael Fix, Australia
Kulturhaus Alte Meierei in Blomberg
- Timelines-Lebenslinien -
Within the last years Michael Fix developed to one of the outstanding acoustic guitarrists worldwide. One one hand this is the value of his special virtuosity and on the other due to the choice of his music of course. Passion and emotion trnsfered via music - thats the way to get the listeners attention always!
Michael's repertoire - besides Jazz, Blues, celtic and australian folk music country und classical music - contains original compositions too. Many of them with a very special and private attitude. Many plays in TV and radio but mostly in Australia of course. Michael received a lot of prices for his work in the past (see below)
His style appears to be typical australian and is highly personal in its presentation. There is no longer any way to miss him or to overlook his work. "My 30 years experience in the musics landscape showed me that music is life! I try to reflect all lows and highs which are in everyones life present. This experiences is enriched due to the support from my audience. Most of this the connection to my listeners is fantastic and a joy for me always."
We too are very happy to have Michael on Viele Saiten stage in Blomberg and love to welcome him in April.

Support act this night:
Lukas Stenvers, Potsdam
In the western part of the area Muensterland days drop by like the landscape itself ... time enough to play guitar all day long ...
Lukas Stenvers from Gronau (at present studying in Potsdam) is doing this since he turned seven. He was brought to music by his father - who play accordeon himself - and it was his father to encourage the son to try out any musical instrument. Lukas' first try was on drums but soon he discovered his love for guitar. He started with classical education, tried himself blues too but after he was introduced to Tommy Emmanuel's music by his teacher he knew what to do ... and so it goes!
By now Lukas is one of the most talented young fingerstyle guitarists in Germany. His repertoire shows pieces from his idol Tommy of course but the listener will find pieces from legendary composers and songwriters like Billy Joel or James Taylor as well. A couple of own original compositions - partly melodic or quick picked - close the circle of his program. He is not only playing the rapid pieces of Tommy E. where he can show his technical passion. No: there are clam pieces too with their own unique harmonics which he performs in a brilliant way.
Viele Saiten is happy to welcome Lukas on Blomberg stage and the visitors will look forward to this event too.
